A Meditation Circle for Women

Last Sunday of the month, 6:00 – 7:00 PM, PST

Join us for a nurturing, once-a-month gathering where women come together to practice meditation in a relaxed, low-key atmosphere. Our circle is collaboratively led by rotating facilitators from within the group, creating a warm sense of shared responsibility and community.

Each session weaves together three complementary practices: we read through Rinpoche’s teachings paragraph by paragraph, allowing time for reflection and group meditation on the wisdom shared. We incorporate gentle Kum Nye exercises to release physical tension and promote relaxation. We also include time for guided or silent meditation.

This monthly practice offers a valuable respite from daily pressures and world events, providing space for inner calm and spiritual nourishment.

Perfect for those seeking a consistent and accessible meditation practice within a supportive community of women. No experience necessary—just bring an open heart and willingness to explore these ancient wisdom traditions together.

The gathering is held both online and in person at the Nyingma Institute in Berkeley. If our hosts are not local, you’re welcome to join us for a live viewing in our peaceful meditation room.

"So give ease to your mind, your senses, your body, your being. Let your practice become one of ‘easing,’ allowing a feeling tone so complete, so full of balance and joy that it permeates, body, mind and senses and merges them into a unified field of being."

– Tarthang Tulku, Joy of Being

"Genuine satisfaction is found only within our hearts, wherein lie peace and a subtle, ecstatic beauty. There, by integrating our body, mind, and senses, we can establish an inner balance and harmony. This inner balance then stays with us in everything we do."

– Tarthang Tulku, Openness Mind
