We are encouraged to make Kum Nye our constant companion. Practice and study teach us how to smooth the jagged energies of body and mind, protecting us against negativity and discouragement without and within and enabling us to nourish ourselves and bring ease to the mind.

Together, this term and the next will explore Part Four of Tarthang Tulku’s The Joy of Being: “Massaging Mind of The Joy of Being”
The fifth of seven modules of the Nyingma Institute International Joy of Being Teacher Training program, this term’s module is here offered as its own course for all those interested, with permission of the instructors. This class is offered in English in two weekly sections:
One that meets both in-person at the Nyingma Institute in Berkeley and online, Mondays from 6:00 – 7:30 PM, Pacific Standard time.
Instructors: Abbe Blum & Santosh Philip.
And another that meets online only, Wednesdays from 10:30 – Noon PST (6:30 PM U.K./GMT) taught by our U.K. Based faculty.
Instructors: Jonathan Clewley, Angela Bushaway and Bram Williams.
In addition, another section is offered in Dutch.
