Kindness Superheroes: A Mindfulness Program for Kids
Kindness is a superpower. This is where kids learn to use it.
“Kindness Superheroes” is a mindfulness-based program for children that nurtures kindness alongside a range of socioemotional skills. Through mindful play, storytelling, art, and movement, our curriculum draws on evidence-based practices to help children recognize and regulate their emotions, connect with their minds and bodies, and cultivate compassion and a sense of community.

Ava brings 10 years of childcare experience and 3 years of classroom teaching to Kindness Superheroes. Most recently, she worked in a STEAM classroom in the Dominican Republic, developing and implementing experiential science lessons for students aged 5–12. Ava is trained in Restorative Practices for Educators and is passionate about the whole-child approach to education, one in which students develop not just academic skills, but also the socioemotional tools they need to flourish. In her free time, she loves to be in nature, dance, and all other kinds of movement.
Emily brings experience in direct therapy with children ages 4–17, as well as work in a mindfulness-based early childhood setting. She holds a Master of Social Work degree and she has a passion for physical, mental, and emotional healing through many types of methodologies. She also loves doing yoga, petting cats, and lounging on the beach in her spare time.
