This term in Lotus Mind, we examine the properties of the observer. We will look at the double aspect of mind as the commentator, who wants to report and pin down what is happening, and the per-curious one, who undergoes experience. The way we understand ourselves seemingly depends on the observer reading out what is experienced— but who is observing and framing experience? Participants engage in meditation, movement practice, analytic and experiential inquiry; Padmasambhava’s instructions, such as freeing the mind from the knot of ego-clinging and embracing practice with non-conceptual compassion will be explored. One weekend workshop and a longer retreat are part of this class.

Instructors: Lama Palzang, Pema Gellek, Abbe Blum, & Hugh Joswick.
Cost: $275
