When first starting out, our meditation may have a heavy, “willed” quality–we may be trying to fit our meditation into an idea or structure we have in our mind. This can leave us feeling stuck and frustrated with our practice. In this meditation class, we will learn to bring a lighter quality to our meditation and cultivate an approach that is casual and open–not self-conscious or forced. 

We will use Tarthang Tulku’s book Openness Mind as a support for this class. Using the guidance of this book, we will touch into what it feels like to embrace and learn from whatever we experience. We can start to bring a playful attitude to our meditation practice, leading to more joy and fulfillment.
