Beginning Tibetan

Wednesdays, 6:00 – 7:00 PM, PT (April 15 – June 3, 2026) 

Online & In-Person at the Nyingma Institute

This introductory course is designed for students with no prior knowledge of the Tibetan language. Students will learn the Tibetan alphabet from the ground up, developing foundational skills in reading and pronunciation. Through guided practice from our resident Tibetan monastic, students will gain practice in recognizing written Tibetan script and speaking basic phrases. This course provides an essential foundation for those wishing to deepen their engagement with Tibetan texts, teachings, and culture.
