Registration Information for Workshops and Retreats
at the Nyingma Institute
Each course is an integral part of one of our seven Certificate Programs and we recommend that all those interested in attending courses register for one of these programs, each of which offers a focused educational opportunity to master an aspect of our curriculum. It is also possible to attend individual courses for which you meet the prerequisites as an auditor.Following each course description is the name of the Certificate Program or Programs that the course is part of (in parentheses). Clicking on the Program name will take you to a full description of the Program.
NYINGMA INSTITUTE IS A PRIVATE INSTITUTION THAT IS APPROVED TO OPERATE BY THE BUREAU FOR PRIVATE POSTSECONDARY EDUCATION
All books mentioned in these workshop descriptions may be purchased at the Nyingma Institute bookstore.
Registration & Contact Information
Preregistration: Please call (510) 809-1000 to preregister for programs. In order to ensure your place in retreats, classes, and workshops, send in a 20% deposit. Make checks payable to the Nyingma Institute or call (510) 809-1000 with your credit card information. The Nyingma Institute accepts Visa and MasterCard.
Payment Policy: Full payment for classes, workshops, and retreats is due at the first session.
Refunds: If a class, workshop, or retreat is cancelled by the Institute, a full refund will be made. If a student drops a class before the third session, a prorated refund will be made if requested.
Non-discrimination policy: The Nyingma Institute welcomes students of any race, color, sex, national, and ethnic origin. It does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, sex, national and ethnic origin in administration of its educational and admissions policies or any other programs that it administers.
Prerequisites: An open mind and a commitment to positive change are the primary prerequisites for Institute programs. Specific prerequisites are noted in individual descriptions.
Scholarships: Scholarships are offered for selected classes and workshops. Call to request an application form.
Contributions: The Nyingma Institute is a nonprofit organization. The generous support of friends and students allows us to offer scholarships to needy students and to fund Tibetan art and text preservation projects.
