Mollie Hughes, Instructor

Mollie Hughes has trained in Nyingma studies at the Nyingma Institute since 2007, with a focus on Dharma Studies, Meditation, and Tibetan Language. Before her studies at the Institute she graduated from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro in 1966 with a BA in English and worked in the publishing field as an editor and proofreader until 1984, when she changed fields to work with children with mental disorders. In 1991 she completed a Master’s Degree in Transpersonal Counseling Psychology and was later hired by Building Opportunities for Self-Sufficiency (Berkeley, California) to do social work for homeless adults with severe mental disorders and drug abuse issues. She is now retired from this position and teaches Intermediate Tibetan Language classes at the Nyingma Institute.
